The Potosi Police Department applied and received arrest warrants on two separate individuals over the weekend.
On 01/10/2015 Officer Smith was dispatched to 901 Dunklin Street in reference to stolen power cables. These cords powered high efficiency machines for the residence. Investigation led Officer Smith to the neighbor’s residence. Inside the residence the stolen power cables were recovered. Michee Reed age 33 of Potosi was arrested and charged with Second Degree Burglary, Stealing over $500.00 and Property Damage. His bond was set at $20,000.
On 01/11/2015 Officer Smith was dispatched to 105 Clara Avenue for a burglary not in progress. The victim stated she received a call from Kristophper Knupp and asked if she was home. The victim told him she was not. Knupp stated that he saw a tall skinny man wearing a hooded sweatshirt standing at the rear of her residence. The victim returned home to find her back door was open. The victim advised that the description given by Knupp actually matched his own description. The victim stated that Knupp also lived on Clara Avenue. Officer Smith located Knupp at 205 Clara Avenue. Knupp admitted to breaking into the victim’s residence and was also found to be possession of a controlled substance. Kristopher Knupp age 35 was charged with Burglary Second Degree and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $50,000.
The Potosi Police Department has contracted with local company VLM Technologies to give the departments website a facelift. Work is expected to be completed by July 4, 2014.
